Vintage Seiko Dolce 9531-5150 TUCAC Case 1988 Watch

Vintage Seiko Dolce 9531-5150 TUCAC Case 1988 Watch

This Vintage Seiko Dolce is peak-seiko innovation, quality, style and craftmanship. Personally, I think the Seiko Dolce range is overlooked and has many gems - this one included.

The dial is what catches the eye immediately with a gold-leaf / frosted dial pattern housed in a case of a super hard alloy coated with hard titanium nitride (High surface hardness and resistant to small scratches, Hv = about 1200) in a beautiful unique case shape. It also has a sapphire crystal - which was not common at all back then.

This Seiko houses the Seiko Caliber 9531 with a stunning accuracy of  ±20 seconds/year - which was an insane accuracy back in 1988. The Caliber 9531 was also found in the Chronos and short-lived Laurel Ranges.

This example is complemented with the original, easy-adjustable strap matched in the titanium-nitride coating with ref AA68B.

It's in beautiful near-mint condition, someone clearly looked after this very well, with only minor signs of use. A Fresh Battery has been placed and it keeps time well aswell as sets smoothly through the crown.

This is model SACT037 costing a whopping ¥88,000 Yen back in 1988.
